Current products include portable reaction monitoring systems, sample preparation kits and assay kits for detecting various biochemical compounds and disease.

Guided Particle LLC was founded in 2006 to commercialize patented technology for printing ultra thin material layers under atmospheric conditions. Guided Particle’s material printers are targeted to be able to create customized, three dimensional, mixed-material, structures. Market applications include lightweight systems, structured object creation for advanced engineered structures and rapid printing of new material combinations for advanced materials development.

Intelligent Micro Patterning was formed in 2001 to commercialize the maskless photolithography technology initially developed at Mr. Fries' laboratory at the University of South Florida. Today, IMP has an impressive global customer base including Fortune 50 companies, small businesses, national laboratories and leading research institutions. With the company well-established, Carolyn resigned from her role as VP Engineering & Operations in 2007 to pursue other interests. David resigned as Chief Technology Officer in 2008 for the same reason. Although the Frieses, no longer play an active role in the operation of Intelligent Micro Patterning, Mr. Fries remains a partner in the business.

SciFlies is a 501(c3) non-profit organization that is a destination for people who want to discover and participate in transformative scientific research. A unique microfinance model presents people with "portfolios" of research opportunities they can support through their donations. Through this model, researchers receive critical funding and researchers and research become more accessible to the general public by creating a meaningful connection between the scientist and people from all walks of life.

Initial product lines include wifi enabled buoy platforms, underwater ion trap mass spectrometer systems, CTD (conductivity, temperature, depth) sensors, underwater and land-based camera systems for observation & security. Voda intends to provide a broad scope of sensing and observational platforms and develop cost effective sensors to address the measurement needs across many industries.
